This oval covered jar is about 6" wide, and 5" high. The outside is finished with interactive pigments with a deep matte black color and darker accents. The lid and body of the jar fit together only one way, matching the curve of the cut line. The inside and lid are glazed with a gloss black patent glaze. This piece is high fired stoneware. It is one of a kind, although I make this shape and pigment/glaze combination often.
